Although we are few in number, at the start of this year we will set out to lay a foundation that we can be proud of for those who come to Saint Peter’s after us.

I chose Saint Peter’s after discerning the best option for my A-Level studies. I am drawn to an international education but, importantly, one that pushes us in terms of academics and sports. As a Sixth Former it is good to be given responsibility and freedoms in the school.

Being in the countryside has a natural draw for me and at Saint Peter’s I will get the best of both worlds, a Catholic education and a rural home. I recognise how lucky I am to be joining a school which strikes a healthy balance between a commitment to hard work and enjoyment.

Having been homeschooled throughout most of my secondary education, as I enter Sixth Form I recognise that it is important for me to be part of a school which fosters individual academic interests as well as giving time to team sports, music and reading.

Coming from a French speaking school there will be a lot of differences to prepare for the GCSE programme. Although this is all new, I am looking forward to the fact that there will be a lot of firsts for me; being at boarding school, studying overseas and speaking only in English. I want to learn to serve Mass and to be involved in the daily rosary group.

After months of online learning I am looking forward to being in a real school environment again. Although my older brother will be at the school we are in different Houses and I can also make my own friends as there are a few of us who have opted to learn the trumpet at a local school of music.
